the brief

Airscope was engaged by one of our clients to visually inspect and 3D model an old heritage-listed sewer vent in the Perth metro area.

Standing at 40m, public safety was becoming an increasing issue, with the concrete render falling and narrowly missing the pathway underneath.

Our client wanted to know the full extent of the structural compromise so they could address the issues. They recognised that utilising our drone technology was more viable than bringing in elevated work platforms, scaffolding and teams to work at high risk. It was also the best way to conduct a non-invasive inspection that adhered to the requirements for a heritage-listed site.

Our client also requested one of our 3D digital models of the facility so they could bring their asset into the boardroom. This key service streamlined their maintenance and repair process by empowering decision-makers with key and keen insight at the touch of a button.
